During the winters the island is occasionally swept by cold fronts 3 to 4 times a year. The peak winter lasts for 4 months stretching from the month of November to February. Humidity usually remains on the higher side all through the year. The summer stretches from the months of May to September.


The months of October till January receives the maximum rainfall in the islands. The islands receives ample amount of sunlight during the summers and it prevails in the same manner even during the winters.
