Tourist Attractions in St. Croix

"Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy."

Anne Frank

No need to Think, but actually discover all the beauty left around you and be happy when you are on St. Croix. The Tourist Attractions in St. Croix have that sort of charm to make you happy and mesmerized. Though there are historic sights, botanical garden and other things to see, however, travelers from all over the world flock at this South American destination primarily to enjoy the bright sun on the golden beach. And don't forget to bracket the beauty of the aqua blue Caribbean Sea with the attractions on this isle.

Buck Island Reef National Monument is situated in the north of the northeast coast of Saint Croix. Most of the Monument area, which is administered by the National Park Service, is underwater. The marine ecosystem surrounding the island includes an Elkhorn coral barrier reef that surrounds two-thirds of the island and provides cover for a great variety of reef fish.

Christiansted National Historic Site memorializes urban colonial development of the Virgin Islands. Featuring 18th and 19th century structures in the heart of Christiansted, this site offers a visit to Fort Christiansværn, the Danish West India & Guinea Company Warehouse, the Steeple Building, Danish Custom House and the Scale House.

The St. George Village Botanical Garden is a place with arboretum and is open daily except Christmas. Here enjoy seeing the restored buildings and ruins of a 19th century Danish sugarcane plantation. It contains over 1500 native and exotic species and varieties, including bromeliads, cactus and succulents, a conservation garden, a dry palmetum, heritage gardens, orchids, ornamental ferns, native arboretum, naturalized forest, rainforest, and sansevieria collection.

So make a trip to this gorgeous island and experience a perfect getaway. Travour.com offers information on Tourist Attractions in St. Croix and Romantic vacations in St. Croix. For more information on St. Croix and other islands worldwide, keep browsing through Travour.
