Borneo enjoys an absolute tropical climate. The usual temperature in these regions are always on the higher side. The island receives rainfall throughout the year. The relative humidity of the island invariably remains above 70% throughout the year. There is not much difference in the mean temperature even. The temperature varies between 20-36 degrees Celsius.
The monsoon in Borneo continues from November to March and April and August are the dry and warm periods of the year. September to March are the coolest months of the island. The climate in the island is mainly affected by the winds blowing from the sea to land. These winds causes daily thunderstorms and heavy spells of rains though they do not last for a long time.
Clothing
Keeping the climate in mind the travelers are advised to carry light clothes. Women should try to dress up modestly keeping the local customs in mind.
