Isalo National Park


Isalo is a picturesque collage of waterpools, sand stones from the Jurassic era, rocky canyons and dense forest. The jungle is home to a large number of animal species. You are likely to spot different species of lemurs, reptiles, and birds.


Remarkable scenic splendour and sheer wilderness offer ample opportunity for jungle treks. There is a lot of scope for jungle camping as well! Deep gorges and dense deciduous forests are home to brown lemurs and sifakas.


Apart from the fact that the national park is a storehouse of exotic plant and animal life; it happens to have sacred sites that are of immense significance to the local Bara tribe. You are likely to come across local burial grounds decorated with rock formations.

Piscine Naturelle


The natural stone cave overlooking a pretty waterfall that flows into a water pool flanked by lush leafy pandanus trees.


The Window of the Isalo,is yet another attraction. The place looks dreamlike during sunset.


Isalo's rich bird population includes thrushes, white throated rail, Madagascar Kestrel, Torotorokascops owls and Madagascar little grebe. Besides the forest is home to a large number of frogs and reptiles!
