The tiny atoll in the Pacific namely Wake Island, is home to some of the stunning coral deposits of the world. The island is also popularly known as the Wake Atoll. The wake island embodies a coastline of 12 miles on the Pacific Ocean. This small group of island lies on the course of two-third of the distance in between Honolulu and Guam. Wake Islands are unorganized territory of the United States of America's minor outlying islands. These islands are under the governance of the Office of Insular Affairs, U.S. Department of the Interior.


Located on the west of the International dateline, Wake Island is always a day ahead of the other 50 states of United States of America. The typography of the island is quite interesting as though it is called an island but in reality it is encompasses three different islets namely Wake, Wilkes, and Peale around a central lagoon. Wake Island is the largest among the group and was the lone American property prior to the second world war.


Wake Island came under the jurisdiction of United States on 17th January, 189. a small village was established in the island in 1935 called 'Paaville' which in fact was the first of its kind human settlement on the islands. The village was set up to serve the flights of the U.S.-China route and was dependent on mainland for food and water supply.
