Cook Islands Ferry

Those who love to travel by ferry might be a little disappointed in the Cook Islands, as there is no scheduled fast ferry services between the Cook Islands, leaving the tourists with inter island flights as the only option for travelers planning to visit an outer island. The only solace for the tourists is that there is monthly Cook Islands Ferry service that connects the two major islands of Aitutaki and Rarotonga with an 18-hour ferry travel. The tourists can complete the same journey in mere 45 minutes if they opt for the flight.

There are five daily flights from Rarotonga that take passengers to the island of Aitutaki, however, there are no flights on Sundays.
