Staten Island

One of the five boroughs of New York City, Staten Island is situated on an island of the same name, which is most diverse of other City's boroughs, geographically. Of all other boroughs, Staten island supports the lowest population of merely 460,000 people and is often referred as "the forgotten borough" or "the step-sister borough", owing to its limited popularity compared to its other four well-known sisters, The Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.

The bulk of its population are the indigenous locals living a suburban life. In fact, massive chunks of the central and southern sections of the island were once dominated by dairy and poultry farms, some of which existed as recently as the early 1960s.
