Ferry Route Information
The Staten Island Ferry departs from the St. George Ferry Terminal at 1 Bay Street, Richmond Terrace, Staten Island and arrives at the Whitehall Terminal at 1 Whitehall Street at South Street in Lower Manhattan.
The ferry service providers have taken care to accommodate special passengers, encouraging wheelchair bound passengers to use lower-level boarding at both the Whitehall and St. George Terminals.
To ensure safety of the passengers on board, strict security measures have been adopted requiring all passengers to comply with applicable U.S. Coast Guard Security Regulations regardless of which level they board from. In view of the heightened security environment prevalent and consequent requirements, the carriage of cars on the Staten Island Ferry is suspended.
