Tierra del Fuego Ferry

Tierra del Fuego is one of the most visited islands of South America, with its capital city of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel as the most popular tourist attraction of the island. The island is easily accessible by ferry from both the Chilean and Argentine Mainland. The ferry departs from Punta Arenas in the morning for a crossing of the Magellan Strait which taking a total crossing time of 2.5 hours to arrive at the capital of the Tierra del Fuego Province, Porvenir.

The endemic fauna of the land displayed in the museum is the main highlight of the museum, which also has an interesting section on archeology and anthropology.
