The monsoon remains active during the months of September to February; the rest of the year the climate remains fairly dry. The months of May to September remains the driest. The wet season in Bali is characterized by regular downpour in the afternoon for an hour or half, rest of the day remains heavily overcast. The dry season also experiences patches of rainfall mostly in the nights or quite early in the morning. The areas under the central mountains remains cooler than the lower coastal areas.

The best time to visit Bali is during the months of June to September. With climate remaining predominantly dry it will be easier to enjoy the island.

Casual dressing is the best way to dress up yourself for the island. Always prefer light clothes as the weather remains mostly humid. Try to wear full sleeves clothing and long trousers to drive out the dreaded fear of mosquito bites.
