Things to Do In Randall's Island

The name Randall's Island has become a topic of discussion in the world tourism circuit owing to the Randall's Island Sports Foundation (RISF) founded in 1992 as a public-private partnership to work on behalf of Randall's Island Park.

This sports foundation has done more than its share of work to realize the Island's unique potential as a sport destination by developing sports and recreational facilities and face lifting the entire island to get it, its rightful position in the island tourism circuit. The foundation operates in conjunction with City leadership and is single-mindedly working towards restoring its vast natural environment, reclaiming and maintaining parkland, and sponsoring community-linked programs for the children of New York City.


The facilities available at the Park include a world-class track & field stadium, a premier soccer field adjacent to the Stadium with artificial surface, lighting, scoreboard and bleacher seating for 600. Add to it, 18 smaller fields, 26 softball and baseball fields, a tennis center, golf center, ferry dock, fishing and picnic areas further supplement these.

Therefore, there is no dearth of sports and recreational facilities in the Park. The tourists can select from a lot of things to do as per their inclination.
